I write about obscure cultures, cities, the arts and (extra)ordinary people for various publications. My work can be seen in L.A. Weekly, L.A. Magazine, Bitter Lemons, Hello Giggles, among others. I received a Master in Professional Writing from USC, and am a managing editor of the Exposition Review.
I was the only American of 15 international journalists awarded a fellowship in cultural journalism from the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Foundation in Colombia in 2015. I’m also a Shoah Foundation Institute journalism fellow.
I’ve written extensively for the stage and have performed my original works at various venues on both coasts including The Electric Lodge (LA), Galapagos Art Space (NYC), Williamsburg Art NexXus (Brooklyn), HERE (NYC), CounterPulse (SF), Shotwell Studios (SF), The Marsh (SF), 975 Howard/The Garage (SF), and the SF Theatre Festival.
